garden tours

at schools

Through my work with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen-Garden Foundation, I've acquired valuable experience in delivering sustainability education at schools.  I can visit your school and deliver sessions that can range from an introduction to worms, setting up a worm farm, doing a full waste assessment and setting up an organic waste management program based on worm farming, composting and chooks involving the entire school. I'm also able to design a Permaculture garden to suit your school's needs.  The sessions can be easily integrated to the curriculum and are well balanced in theoretical and practical elements.

OPTION 3

For schools willing to set the standard in sustainability or wish to integrate worm farming into their kitchen or gardening programs, this is the option for you.

This service may include:

  • School waste assessment.
  • Report on worm farm requiremets.
  • System design and set up .
  • Workshop for staff and students.
  • Permaculture garden design.
  • Maintenance and service if required.
  • User manual  and record keeping documents.
  • Constant advice and support

Costing, system design and education program will be customized for your specific requirements.

If you are after some theoretical or practical knowledge in sustainability, gardening or permaculture I can help you out. I'm happy to run workshops  on topics like, wicking beds, no dig gardens, herb spirals, plant propagation, seed saving,  grey water filtering reed beds, composting, chickens in the backyard, rain water harvesting and worm farming of course to name a few.  I can put something together to suit your needs and budget, no matter if you have a small or large group of people interested I will always embrace the chance to share my experience.

My place is available for workshops for groups up to 5 people.

Please contact me and let me know what you are after.
